Study Tour to Bangabandhu Multipurpose Bridge


The students of 4th year 2nd semester along with some faculties visited Bangabandhu Multipurpose Bridge, on 29th June, 2012. Firstly, they were warmly welcomed by Bangladesh Bridge Authorities (BBA) which had appointed Chinese Company named ‘CCCC’ for repairing cracks on the deck of the Bridge. The Project manager described briefly about the cracks of the bridge and their repair techniques. After that the students observed different features of the bridge: pier, abutment, joints etc. on the spot.
