MESSAGE FROM HEAD

Welcome to the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE). We are one of the pioneering departments of Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST). On behalf of the faculty members and staff of the department, I would like to express my heartfelt thanks for visiting this page.

In its essence Computer Science and Engineering is a very exciting and challenging program worldwide. This is an exhilarating time in CSE and Information Technology (IT). If you have chosen to visit the page to gather information for pursuing your career in CSE here, we are delighted to assure you of a thrilling journey through an astonishingly dynamic field under the supervision of a number of ‘heavyweights’ with hardcore foundation of the field as well as of a good number of ‘lightweights’ with skill and knowledge of numerous marvelous current-day twists of the domain.

Globally, we have seen substantial progress in computer applications like social communication, industrial automation, software development, machine learning and artificial intelligence. Significant progress in natural language processing, image processing, cybersecurity, mixed reality, etc. are making us hopeful about achieving enormous progress and sustainability with the vision of a better world.

Our department is dedicated to quality education and research in the field. We offer an updated curriculum with state-of-the-art courses developed encompassing latest progress in the relevant fields known internationally. Faculty members with appropriate exposure and modern laboratory facilities provide students with the best opportunities to gain adequate knowledge and skills for the IT era. Most of our faculty members are very active in research also. And our graduates are recruited with excellent placement by government agencies, and private industries as well as educational and research institutions locally and internationally.
