Functions of Planning and Development Office

• To work for the overall Planning and Development works of the University. Director, P&D works as the Member-Secretary of the “Planning and Development Committee” of the university consisting of Vice-Chancellor, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Treasurer, Nominated Expert and Deans.
• To monitor and supervise the ongoing extension works of the university campus.
• To work for the infrastructure development and extension works in the newly purchased lands of the university. The required physical infrastructures will be planned as per requirement of proposed new faculties, departments as and when approved.
• To plan for purchasing more new lands for campus extension purposes.
• To be involved in any other academic related development works of the university as deemed necessary by higher authority.

Activities

• Currently the construction of 9-Storied Building with two basements for AUST is going on at Kunipara, Tejgaon I/A, Dhaka-1208. Piling work has been completed. Expected to be completed in the beginning of the year 2023. In future, hopefully more such extension works will be started in the newly purchased lands.
• Preparation of Master Plan on the newly purchased land of about 50 Bighas at Ashulia, Shavar is under progress.
• There are plans to purchase more new lands in near future as per necessity for campus extension purposes.
