Study Tour

School of Business arranged an Industrial Tour for the 39th batch of the BBA Program


As a co-curricular activity, the School of Business arranged an Industrial Tour for the 39th batch of the BBA Program to augment their theoretical knowledge with the real-life industrial exposure. The tour was held on March 14, 2020. A group of 91 students visited Scandex Knitwear Limited at Adamjee Export Processing Zone, Narayanganj, Bangladesh. The tour was guided by Mr. Md. Shak Forid, Assistant Professor and Mr. Shaheb Ali Mondal, Lecturer.

Students experienced real-life production and management systems of a garments manufacturing unit specialized both in woven and knitwear productions. The students met with Mr. U. M. Ashek, Managing Director of Scandex Knitwear Limited who was awarded as a commercially important person (CIP) for 2013-14 from the government. He shared his valuable views and entrepreneurial experiences with the students which added more value to the students. The students were divided into different teams under the supervision of high officials of the company and observed the whole production systems. The entire tour was guided by Dr. Ali Khalid, Director, Scandex Knitwear Limited and ended up with a lecture session for the students by him along with management personnel of the company.
