AUST CIVILIANS CRICKET BLAST 2K17


A weeklong cricket tournament titled "AUST CIVILIANS CRICKET BLAST 2K17" was held at "Osmani Hall, BUTEX, Dhaka" from 18th to 22nd December 2017. It was organized by AUST Civil Engineering Society (ACES). A total of 12 teams distributed evenly across four groups played in the tournament. Matches at group level were held from 18th December to 22nd December 2017. The semi-finals and final were held on 24th December. Students participated in all the matches with utmost enthusiasm. The eventual champions were the students from the Nirvik-34 batch after an intense match. The runners up were the students from the Prottaborton-32 batch. Prof. Dr. Sharmin Reza Chowdhury, Head of the Department, Department of Civil Engineering, was present as the Chief Guest on the final day. He gave the prizes among the players. In addition, other faculty members were present throughout the tournament to supervise the matches. Prof. Dr. Sharmin Reza Chowdhury thanked the organizers, especially the student members of ACES for organizing a wonderful tournament and hoped for continuity of similar tournaments in future to enrich the extra-curricular activities of Civil Engineering department, AUST.
