Addressing the freshers as the chief guest of the second session Mr. Kazi Rafiqul Alam, Chairman, AUST Board of Trustees and President, DAM mentioned that they should dream of a beautiful life and at the same time they have to culture humane values. He also said that university is the last educational institute before entering into jobs. In the university they have to acquire world's knowledge. He informed them that Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah (R.) offered this model of acquiring knowledge. He advised them to keep themselves aloof from life destroying drug addiction and misuse of information and communication technology.

As the chief guest of the first session Prof. Dr. M. H. Khan, Advisor and Founder Vice-Chancellor, AUST advised the newcomers to study well from the very beginning of the semester as time is valuable and it should not be wasted for any reason. He also inspired the students telling that if anyone wants to get his/her own identity, this is the time to work hard with full force consistently from the beginning.

Prof. Dr. A.M.M. Safiullah, Vice-Chancellor, AUST told the newcomers to achieve certain attributes from here. He added that the university will teach them how to acquire knowledge, how to be able to analyze but the real part of their learning will depend on them. Besides bookish education, they have to think critically and should enhance their creative capability to keep pace with the future world. He further added that new knowledge is being created and replaced with the old ones. So they should aware of changes occurring time to time and keep themselves updated so that they may not face any complicacy when they will in a job. That's why "outcome based" learning is necessary for them to go forward in this modern globalized world.

While delivering his speech as the special guest of both the sessions Prof. Dr. Kazi Shariful Alam, Treasurer, AUST said that besides studies, students have to abide by the rules and regulation as rules are strictly followed here. He also focused on some issues for creating awareness among the newcomers and advised them not to involve in various offenses which are never tolerated for keeping the environment of the university safe and good. He also presented a brief life sketch of Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah to the freshers.

Mr. Muhammad Abdul Gafur, Registrar, AUST gave some directions to the students about semester fees payment, re-admission, checking the list of promotion etc. in his speech.  Prof. Dr. Md. Hamidur Rahman Khan, Proctor drew the attention of the newly admitted students briefing the punishment for those who would involve themselves in any unfair deeds. He also suggested them to be careful and aware of these and added that there is a proctorial team in the university who are always ready to help the newly admitted students when and as needed.

A few newly admitted students expressed their happy feelings on getting admission in AUST.

The sessions were ended with the spontaneous participation of the newly admitted students and they were very much inspired by the valuable speech delivered by the speakers. Guardians of the students were also there with them in the auditorium.
