Fresher's Reception and Orientation Program held at AUST
Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST) organized Fresher’s Reception and Orientation Program for the newly admitted students of Spring Semester-2011 was held on Saturday, 16 April 2011. The new comers are going to attend their class from today (17 April). Kazi Rafiqul Alam, Chairman, AUST Board of Trustees and President, Dhaka Ahsania Mission was present as the Chief Guest on that occasion. Prof. Dr. M. H. Khan, Founder Vice-Chancellor of AUST was present as the Special Guest while the program was presided over by Prof. Dr. Kazi Shariful Alam, Vice-Chancellor (Acting) AUST. Newly admitted students along with their guardians were attended the program in the spacious modern campus of the university.
The Chief Guest Mr. Kazi Rafiqul Alam in his speech said, AUST has become a reputed university as it has been imparting quality education since its inception. The reputation which has already been achieved should be taken care of by the new students. They should be cautious to gain knowledge and proper education from the beginning. A student should not only be well educated in getting the degree but also they need to serve the nation in future. They need to build a corruption frees society. Prof. M. H. Khan said, A teacher can only guide a student but the students should respond accordingly to the teacher for being successful. The Vice-Chancellor Kazi Shariful Alam said, Each and everyone should work hard to get good result from it. Without good result none can get a better job. So there is no alternate way to become successful but to learn properly. Besides the Dean of the Faculties, Proctor of AUST and ASW of AUST spoke on the occasion also. In the reception program, the Head of the Departments, Teachers, Officers, Staff and Employees were present. After the occasion, students went to their respective departments and they were informed about the rules & regulations of the university by Head of Department concerned along with the teachers of the department.
