Freshers Orientation

Fresher’s Orientation (Spring 2022) at Department of Textile Engineering


The reception and orientation program for the freshers of B. Sc. in Textile Engineering Program, Spring 2022 semester was held on 13th November 2022 (Sunday) at the Department of Textile Engineering (DTE). The event was conducted in two phases starting from 9.00 A.M. Prof. Dr. Lal Mohan Baral (Head), other faculty members, and staffs of DTE welcomed the new members of AUST family.

An overview of DTE was presented by Ms. Marzia Islam, Lecturer, DTE, AUST. Initially, she introduced AUST, all the faculty members and staffs of DTE, laboratories, and classroom facilities of DTE. Subsequently, the rules and regulation of AUST, summary of the career opportunity for the graduates, and the distinguished alumni of DTE with their achievements were presented.

In the mid of the program, Prof. Baral discussed with the students about academic program, course curriculum, examination system, payment of semester fees, re-admissions, attendance in the classes, and facilities available in the department. He pointed out different challenges, scopes, and opportunities of textile engineering education and its future aspects as well.

In the last part of the program, a general discussion was held with the guardians of the newly admitted students. After ending the session, all the freshers and guardians were entertained with snacks, water and tea.
