Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST) and GIZ signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to extend their partnership until December 2026

Under the flag of ‘Future-Ready Learning for Careers in the Digital Age,’ GIZ and Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to extend their partnership until December 2026.

The parties recognize the significant potential to join forces to innovate and enhance digital skills for students, ensuring their future success in digitalized industry workplaces. This partnership initiated by the Digital Skills to Succeed in Asia (DS2S) project leads to setting a milestone for adopting micro-credential courses, primarily focusing on digital skills for fashion and textile graduate students. Additionally, AUST is prepared to implement this micro-credential course in 2025.

AUST and GIZ sign and exchange an MoU to implement a micro-credential on Digital Fashion

This partnership between GIZ and AUST aims for the following outcome:

  • Leading ‘Digital Fashion’ Micro-credentials: AUST, in collaboration with GIZ and a team of experts, has designed and developed a specialized micro-credential course focused on enhancing digital skills for students in the textile and fashion disciplines.
  • Facilitating Challenge/Real-life application of Micro-credential Courses.
  • As the leading institution in this initiative, AUST will oversee the comprehensive development and implementation of the program, ensuring that the course content, delivery, and quality meet the highest academic and professional standards.
  • Building and Contributing to the Regional Network and Networking with Stakeholders: This partnership, which connects relevant industries and universities in Bangladesh, India, and Vietnam, is key to building a strong regional network.
