On February 4th, 2023, ME Program of the Department of Mechanical and Production Engineering arranged an Industrial Tour for 4th year 2nd semester students at Chandpur 150 MW Combined Cycle Powerplant. Faculty member Mr. Md. Shahjahan Durjoy, Mr. Sarker Ashraful Islam, Mr. Tahmidul Haque Ruvo from ME Program accompanied them.
Chandpur Combined Cycle Powerplant, a subsidiary of Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) with its generation capacity of 150 MW runs on natural gas suppled from Bakhrabad Gas Distribution Company limited. Students got the opportunity to observe operational mechanism of combined cycle plant with generation machineries like turbine, generator, alternator, boiler, water treatment plant etc.
