Seven 3^rd year and 2^nd-semester self-motivated students from the Department of Mechanical and Production Engineering were sent to BBS Cables Limited, a Private-owned heavy cable manufacturing industry, for an industrial visit.

During the 1-days visit, the students were shown the full manufacturing process of medium and heavy cables and including the operation of sophisticated advanced machinery. Under the supervision of the Executive Engineer of the plant, the mentioned students were shown Operations & Mechanical Maintenance Department while interacting with Maintenance Department as well.

As per the attendees, the attachment was an insightful experience of the inner workings of the day-to-day life of the service engineers and technicians. They observed the working principles of different sub-departments needed to run a company. They were also briefed about the possible carrier option in this sector.
