The Final Year Design Project (FYDP) Poster Exhibition and Competition, Spring 2023 of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) was held on April 22, 2024, in the M.H. Khan Auditorium of Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST). The students in their last semester showcased their thesis work and design project by means of a poster display. The event was officially inaugurated by Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor (in charge) Prof. Dr. Mohammed Mahbubur Rahman, through a ceremonial act of cutting a ribbon. Following the inauguration, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor together with Prof. Dr. Tareq Aziz, Head of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, as well as other professors and faculty members, explored all the posters and engaged in discussions with the participants on their thesis work. They provided useful advice and ideas to the project participants to enhance the ongoing progress of their work. The event showcased a wide range of work on many elements of electrical engineering, including electronics, power, and communication.
Esteemed Professors of three different aspects of EEE field served as internal judges for the competition. In addition to the internal panel, two judges from Bangladesh Steel and Engineering Corporation Ltd and Ulkasemi Pvt. Ltd crowned the panel as industry expert. Three projects were chosen as winners from three different streams of EEE after a thorough evaluation procedure.
A prize giving ceremony of the project exhibition was held on the 25th of April at Pro-VC office. All the students along with their supervisors, Head of Dept. of EEE, and FYDP exhibition committee members were present on this occasion. Professor Dr. Mohammed Mahbubur Rahman handed over the crests and certificates to the winners of the competition and encouraged them for further improvement of their respective work. Finally, the ceremony ended with a photo session. The Department of EEE extends its insightful appreciation to the AUST EEE society for their logistic support throughout the program.
