School of Business (SoB) Pitha Utsob- Spring 2023


School of Business (SoB) of Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST) organized a Pitha Utsob to present the glorious tradition of Bangladeshi Culture on Sunday, 28th January 2024. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Mahbubur Rahman, Honorable Pro-Vice Chancellor and (Vice-Chancellor In-Charge) inaugurated the festival. Prof. Dr. Saleh Mohammed Mashehdul Islam, Dean, Faculty of Business and Social Sciences; Prof. Dr. Wahiduzzaman Khan, Head, School of Business; Prof. Dr. Sharmin Reza Chowdhury, Treasurer (In-Charge); Prof. Dr. Hamidur Rahman Khan, Registrar (In- Charge); Prof. Dr. Md. Ashrafur Rahman, Proctor; the respected Heads from other departments and teachers of School of Business were present at the festival.

There was a total of thirteen (13) stalls. Among them, AUSThir Pithaghor (Third Year/ First Semester)), Soprotiver Pithamela (Third Year/ Second Semester), Unoponchasher Pithakunjo (Second Year/ First Semester) became Champion, Runner-up, and Second Runner- up respectively Prof. Dr. Mohammed Mahbubur Rahman, Honorable Pro-Vice Chancellor and (Vice-Chancellor In-Charge) declared the winners of the program who have met the criteria of (i) Variation in pitha, (ii) Better taste, (iii) Decoration of stall, and (iv) Salesmanship and management.

All the students were dressed in traditional clothes - Sharee and Punjabi. Pitha Utsob is more than just an event for enjoying the delicious pithas, it is an event that creates bonding among the students and teachers.
