A departmental seating corner was arranged in the Department of Civil Engineering, AUST, which was sponsored by MI Cement Ltd. and GP Ispat Ltd. The opening ceremony of the seating corner was held on 20^th March, 2018. Honorable Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. A. M. M. Safiullah, Treasurer Prof Dr. Kazi Shariful Alam, Head of CE Prof. Dr. S. Reza Chowdhury, Registrar Mr. Muhammad Abdul Gafur and all faculty members of the department were present in the ceremony. Prof. Dr. A. M. M. Safiullah opened the seating corner by cutting ribbon, after which a photo session took place. After the photo session Prof. Dr. S. Reza Chowdhury, Prof. Dr. A. M. M. Safiullah and Prof Dr. Kazi Shariful Alam delivered short speeches regarding the seating corner and the department. The program was concluded with lunch in the teacher's conference room of the Department of Civil Engineering. The seating corner was designed and developed by two faculty members of Department of Architecture of AUST.
