AUST Innovation and Design Club organized a two-day-long National Event “Walton Laptop Presents MINDSPARKS 22”


“Walton Laptop Presents MINDSPARKS 22”, the biggest Tech-Biz event, was held at the Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST), organized by AUST Innovation & Design Club (AUSTIDC), with the goal to unify the talented minds of the country from diverse engineering and business departments through 10 exciting segments on the 18th and 19th June 2022. The last two editions of 'MindSparks' were arranged with the association with IIT Roorkee, India, and had a blast throughout the country. This time with new segments and exciting opportunities MindSparks had so much more. AUSTIDC has been arranging a huge number of workshops, sessions, and seminars with Inter-Competitions throughout the year to groom the students and MindSparks 22 was the biggest platform to flourish the technical skills and knowledge.

This grand national event comprised 10 segments with 1200 participants from 60 universities and 10 colleges with prize money of over 2,00,000/– (Two Lac) BDT. The two-day-long event was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Fazli Ilahi, the Honorable Vice-Chancellor of AUST with over 1200 tech lovers and business maestros across the country. This fiesta included almost all the fields of engineering and business throughout its 10 segments- Robo Soccer, Robo Race, Poster Presentation, Photography (DSLR and Mobile), Project Showcasing (Hardware and Software), Techno CAD, Rubik's Cube, Business Case, Truss Challenge, and the VLSI Hackathon, an exciting addition to the event, which was the first of its kind in our University.

The two-day-long event ended with a grand prize-giving ceremony having our chair of the event Prof. Dr. Muhammad Fazli Ilahi, Vice-Chancellor, and Special Guests were Prof. Dr. Mohammad Mahbubur Rahman, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Md. Meganur Rhaman, Advisor of Student’s Welfare, Prof. Dr. Mustafizur Rahman, Treasurer, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Saiful Islam Mollik, Proctor, Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology, Touhidur Rahman Raad, Chief Business Officer, Walton Digi-tech Industries Limited and Md.Shakhawat Hossain, Chief Operating Officer, Neural Semiconductor Limited. The prize was handed over to the champion and runner-up teams for their outstanding performance in each segment for their talent, thinking, and technical skills. The participants were also awarded Certificates, Goodies, Foods, and Merchandise.

AUSTIDC is thankful to the honorable Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Fazli Ilahi, Advisor of Student’s Welfare, and Prof. Dr. Md. Meganur Rhaman, President of AUSTIDC, Prof. Dr. Omar Farrok, Professor, Department of EEE, Treasurer of AUSTIDC Inzamam-ul Haq, Assistant Professor, Department of MPE, and all the supporting faculty members for assisting and supporting make the event a successful one.
