Stamford National Debate Championship, 2007
A debate team from Ahsanullah University of Science & Technology has participated in the 2nd Stamford National Debate Championship, 2007. The championship was held from November 06 to 12. The team from AUST reached the quarterfinal by defeating University of Asia Pacific and the defending champion United International University. In the quarterfinal, the AUST team was succeeded by the eventual champion Dhaka University. Mr. Abu Anjum of the department of CE and Mr. Kafi Bin Kabir of the department of EEE participated for the AUST team along with the skipper Mr. Walid Bin Quashem of the department of EEE. All three participants are first year students at AUST.
Meanwhile, skipper Mr. Walid Bin Quashem of the department of EEE secured the 2nd Runner-up position for the best speaker of the championship.
