AUST Photography Club

...

Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology Photography Club, also known as AUSTPC is an aspiring club working with the goal to encourage photographers for almost eleven years. AUSTPC started unofficially for the students of Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology in 2011 with few people who shared the same ambition for photography. Finally, after showing brilliant efforts, AUSTPC got official recognition in September 2014. Since its birth, the members of this club have worked hard to open the door of photography to the world. It has been the source of inspiration of every individual who has the eagerness to make a difference by capturing a moment in the form of a photograph. With a view to nurturing love for photography, orientation for new-comers, workshops, photo-walks, intra photography contests are held on from time to time.

The club has represented AUST at many Inter-University photography events and has brought prestige for AUST in terms of photography. It has arranged and participated in several national and international exhibitions and won prizes in different categories. AUSTPC has won 1st runner-up in Bangladesh University of Professionals Photo Exhibition. AUSTPC has been featured in national newspapers in 2017. The club has also been featured in a talk show called “Dark Room” on the ATN Bangla channel.

The club motivates students to learn and share new ideas and techniques with fellows with similar interests and imaginative power through photography. Regarding this, every year AUSTPC arranges two main events, an international photography exhibition named Dream Beyond Imagination (DBI) and an intra university photography exhibition called F/30 alongside some other small events. All these events have been very effective in finding out all the talented photographers in AUST.

Organizing all the events every year is a vast and tough task. Keeping this in mind we recruit members for the club twice every year at the beginning of the semesters. Members are recruited through personal interviews and the best and dedicated are chosen to be a part of the journey of AUSTPC, which becomes more of a family to them than club later on.
