The Hult Prize Southeast Asia Final Regionals Summit 2019 organized by The Hult Prize Foundation in collaboration with United Nations (UN), officially took place at the City Hall in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam from 4th to 6th April 2019. The Hult Prize Foundation is the world's biggest engine for the launch of for-good, for-profit startups emerging from university level students with over 2500 staffs and volunteers around the world.

This year, a group of four students of second yearin EEE department, AUST formed a team named 'Tesla's Army' and participated in the 'On-Campus Program of Hult Prize' organized at AUST campus. They secured the top position among 87 teams from different universities. They eventually qualified for the next level of the competition 'Hult Prize Southeast Asia Regionals Summit 2019', aprestigious global platform considered as 'The Nobel Prize for Students'. Tesla's Army presented their idea about using the banana stems to compile into fiber and use this product for domestic as well as export purposes. Finally, they achieved one of the Top 6 Regional Finalists position among 44 participating teams from across the world. We are very much pleased for our students for demonstrating their excellence in such an international platform.
