From July 13 to July 17, 2025, the AUST CSE Society organized a football tournament that saw enthusiastic participation from students across all semesters.

Teams were formed for both boys and girls from all eight semesters, and the participants were divided into two groups. The tournament began with group-stage matches over the first three days. The semi-finals took place on the fourth day, followed by the final matches on the fifth and final day.

The tournament was officially inaugurated by the Honorable Vice Chancellor of AUST, Prof. Dr. Md. Ashraful Hoque. He visited the BG Press Field, the tournament venue, and initiated the opening ceremony. Also present at the ceremony were the Head of the Department of CSE and President of the AUST CSE Society, Prof. Dr. Md. Shamim Akhter, along with several other faculty members.

Although the primary focus of students during their four-year journey in Computer Science and Engineering is academics, extracurricular activities like football tournaments play a vital role in shaping character and fostering leadership skills.

The tournament was enriched not only by the active participation of current students and faculty members but also by the presence of alumni from various past batches. Their involvement contributed to strengthening the sense of community and enhancing interpersonal networking among participants.
