A delegation from Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST), led by its Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr. Md. Ashraful Hoque, met with the President of the people’s republic of Bangladesh, His Excellency Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, at the President’s House on Thursday, 29 October 2026, to extend a formal invitation to the University’s 13th Convocation.

The delegation included Professor Dr. Golam Rahman, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of AUST and President of Dhaka Ahsania Mission; Professor Dr. Sharmin Reza Chowdhury, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (In-Charge) and Treasurer of AUST; Professor Dr. S. M. Shafiul Alam, Registrar (In-Charge); and Dr. Syed Masum Ahmed Chowdhury, Secretary of the Board of Trustees.

During the meeting, the AUST delegation formally invited the President to attend the University’s 13th Convocation, scheduled to be held on 23 December 2026. During the conversation, the president praised a lot about the quality of education and achievements of AUST.

Senior officials from the President’s Office were also present at the meeting.
