AUST Faculty Member Joins the Standing Committee of The Textile Institute


The Textile Institute was founded in 1910 with its headquarters in Manchester, UK. This is a professional body for the people who are actively working in textiles, clothing, and footwear to promote professionalism worldwide in textiles and related industries. The Textile Institute has five active standing committees that reflect the key competencies of the organization. Professional Qualifications Committee is one of these five standing committees operating from the international headquarters. This committee recommends the award of professional qualifications of its members who have demonstrated the possession of a sound knowledge of the industry and a high standard of professional competence through creative contributions.

Dr. Mohammad Tajul Islam, Associate Professor of the Department of Textile Engineering has joined the Professional Qualifications Committee of The Textile Institute, Manchester, UK as a member on 29 June 2021.
