Students of Aust organized a rally on 19th April 2014 at the unprecedented death of four and two missing students on pohela baishak in Saint Martin island, cox-bazar


Students of Aust organized a rally on 19th April 2014 at the unprecedented death of four and two missing students on pohela baishak in Saint Martin island, cox-bazar. They demanded the safe and secure tourism facilities in Bangladeh, and they also raised 12 points demands to draw the attention of the concerned authoruties.It is mentioned that on 14th April 2014 while celebrating the pohela baishak 9 students of Aust were swept away by the water of the sea. This tragedy raises a severe concern over security in the coastal areas. Teachers of Alsanullah University also participated in this rally and showed solidarity with the students.Their 12 points demands are as bellow, 1. One skilled `tourist guide should be provided with each tourist party. 2. Sufficient and skilled police men should be provided in tourist spots. The amount of Quick life guard for the sea areas should be increased. 3. Special danger signal should be used in danger zone. 4. Local people should be well-trained in order to rescue the victims instantly. 5. One tourist guide book should be provided for each tourist spot where the details of that area should be mentioned with pictures. 6. Emergency medical team should be established in tourist spots. 7. Danger zones should be marked as Red Zones and entrance of local people should be prohibited there. Security workers should be provided to enquire about the matter. 8. Rescue booth should be established in every tourist spot in order to conduct rescue work instantly. 9. Including Safe signboard watch tower should be established in every important places. 10. One emergency mobile number should be provided in each tourist spot. 11. Primary knowledge of medical treatment should be provided among the students of every school, college and university. 12. Every hotel businessman should be awared of that zone and every room of hotels should be provided with Map Guide mentioning the danger zones.
