To bid farewell to the outgoing students of Spring Semester-2014, a program was held on 24 july 2014 in the Multipurpose Hall of AUST from 10.30 am to 12:00 am. Honorable Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. A.M.M. Safiullah accorded farewell to the outgoing students on behalf of AUST.

Professor Dr. M. H. Khan, founder Vice-Chancellor and Advisor, AUST was present as the chief guest   while Professor Dr. Kazi Shariful Alam, Treasurer, AUST & Dean, Business Faculty was  the special Guest.  Mr. M. A. Hussain, Advisor of Students Welfare, Dr. M. Shahabuddin, Proctor, Prof. Bijon. B.Sarma, Dean (In-Charge) of the Faculty of Architecture & Planning , Prof. Dr. A.F.M  Anwarul  Haque, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering were also present on the dais.

The program was presided over by Prof. Dr. A.M.M. Safiullah, Vice-Chancellor, AUST.

The program started with the recitation from the Holy Quran by Mr. Zakaria Rahimi, Assistant Professor, Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. 3 students from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Civil Engineering and Textile Engineering respectively spoke and expressed their feelings at the beginning of the program. They took special pride of being the students of Ahsanullah University and expressed their gratitude s for helping them to reach their goals.

Prof. Dr. A.F.M Anwarul Haque, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering spoke on the occasion first. He said, You came here 4/5 years ago. Though we are going to bid you farewell today we have given too valuable assets to u and within you. One is degree and the other is confidence which you gained from this University.

Prof. Bijon B. Sarma, Dean (In Charge) of the Faculty of Architecture & Planning spoke after him. He said, We select meritorious students during admission. Universities have different formalities you have to know that. He wished all the students and expressed his feelings that you will shine in life and bring honor to the Ahsanullah University.

Prof. Dr. Kazi Shariful Alam, Treasurer, AUST delivered his speech after that. He said Farewell day is a sad day for the students but pleasant day for the teachers. We bid farewell to the old and welcome the new comers. But if you ever feel any problem Ahsanullah University must help you in every step of life.

 At last he wished them all and ended his speech expecting bright success of the students.

Prof Dr. M.H Khan, Advisor, AUST and chief guest of the program was welcomed then to deliver his speech. At first he compared farewell and reception with the hospitals. Cos like hospitals patients are admitted to get well and go back. Universities are also like hospitals. He said the services of doctors and services of teachers are almost the same. He advised the students to keep their minds always fresh and alive. He also told the students that it is a matter of pride of being the students of Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology.

Honorable Vice-Chancellor, AUST came and spoke last. At first he congratulated the students for achieving their goals. He said you have finished a long journey. Today you can calculate what you have gained in life. You are in real life now. For the last 4/5 years we tried to give you our best. Some of you have gained, some lost. He emphasized on self-education. He also expressed the true meaning of success. He defined success as leading a good life without any hindrance. He advised students to become good human being. He also advised the students to help each others in order to success in life. He also said that the world is globalized now, you have to work hard to compete today's world. He mentioned about the leadership quality and advised students to grow the leadership quality in them. He pointed out 10 points and integrity and dedication are two of them. At last he again wished the students their bright future and ended his speech.
