The renovated Wet Processing Lab-I of the Department of Textile Engineering, Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST), was formally inaugurated on 26 January 2026 by Prof. Dr. Md. Ashraful Hoque, Honorable Vice-Chancellor, AUST.

The event was graced by Prof. Dr. Sharmin Reza Chowdhury, Treasurer, AUST, Engr. Emdadul Haque, Head, Department of Textile Engineering, along with senior faculty members and final-semester students of the department.

The renovation has brought a significant upgrade to the laboratory infrastructure. The most remarkable improvement is the installation of modern chemical table assemblies featuring thick metal bodies with durable granite tops, adequate drawers, cabinets, and racks. In addition, the inclusion of stainless steel basins with peg boards at every table has substantially enhanced the cleanliness and organization of glassware, metalware, and overall laboratory operations.

This renovation reflects AUST’s continued commitment to providing a safe, modern, and industry-relevant learning environment for textile engineering education.
