Orientation for Spring Semester held at AUST

A day-long Orientation and Reception program was organized of the newly admitted students for the Spring Semester-2019 on 01st July 2019 at M.H Khan Auditorium, chaired by Prof. Dr. A.M.M Safiullah, Vice-Chancellor of AUST. The program was graced by the presence of Chief Guest Prof. Dr. M.H Khan, Founder Vice Chancellor of AUST and its Advisor.

In his speech Chief Guest congratulated all newly admitted students to the AUST with a view to pursuing higher education properly. He reminds them to be more careful about time and study session as they are free now from the family restraint and coaching binding which they faced in previous years. He emphasized on complying with the instructions, class schedules and other works directed by course teachers and their guideline to make them prepared for the challenging future and boundary less area of knowledge, and he concluded wishing all success.  

Honorable Chair of the sessions Dr. A.M.M. Safiullah welcomed all students for getting admitted into AUST to design their career for the best. He told that the day of starting new journey for acquiring knowledge is always memorable for every student. Besides this it is to be kept in mind that in the age of globalization quality education and creative minded setting up are essential to serve the global job market. The students of engineering and must have to acquire professional basic knowledge. He mentioned that in the coming years the world will stand with the new vision such as 3-d, Robotics, Bio Technology, energy storage and fourth industrial revolution. He advised them to be prepared with great passion and finally wished them all success.

Prof. Dr. Kazi Shariful Alam, Pro-VC and Treasurer, AUST spoke in the sessions as a Special Guest, in his speech he highlighted the background of the establishment of AUST, its facilities and paid rich tribute to Hazrat Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah (R.) for his tireless efforts in spreading education in this part of the sub-continent.

At the outset of the program admitted some students spoke on and shared their feelings. The academic and extra-curricular activities of the university were explained to the students by Registrar, Controller of Examinations, Proctor, ASW. The course curricula, examination system, rules and regulations, class attendance, discipline etc. were also highlighted to them. Light refreshment was served in the respective department at the end of the orientation program.
