On Wednesday, January 16, 2019, Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, organized a seminar on "Introduction to Outcome Based Education (OBE)" at the conference room of EEE department, AUST. The session was conducted by Professor Dr. Tareq Aziz, Program coordinator of AUST OBE committee for Dept. of EEE. Dr. Aziz started his session with a brief discussion on the significance and impact of accreditation to ensure quality education for the graduates of modern era. He explained the main elements of OBE based systems and presented the process of preparing documentation required for this. He also showed the matrix for Course Outcomes (CO) and Program Outcomes (PO) mapping required for different courses considering revised Bloom's Taxonomy. After the session, Professor Dr. Abdur Rahim Mollah, Dean, Engineering, AUST and Professor Dr. Satyen Biswas shared their expert opinion on OBE based effective educational system. The seminar ended with an interactive question-answer session, where Dr. Aziz answered the queries of the faculty members regarding OBE.
