Industrial training on “measuring earth resistance and soil resistivity” arranged for the faculty members of Dept. of EEE

An industrial training on the measurement of earth resistance and soil resistivity by Fluke 1623-2 or Fluke 1625-2 Geo Earth/Ground tester was arranged for the faculty members of Dept. of EEE on January 22, 2024 at 10am in the AUST campus. As industry experts Mr. Md. Abdul Momin, Assistant Manager (Business Development) and Mr. Aman Ullah, Assistant Manager-Technical Operations, Iconic Engineering Ltd. were invited to conduct the training session. The practical demonstration of the Earth Ground Tester Kit continued for 3 hours. More than 8 faculty members participated in the demonstration session. The lesson learnt from this session will be utilized to carry out experiments for students in various laboratory courses where they will get hands-on opportunity to measure the resistance between a grounding electrode and earth as well as to measure soil resistivity.
