Seminar on Talent Economy and Industrial Research


The Centre of Excellence: Innovation and Incubation of Ahsanuallah University of Science and Technology (AUST) organized a seminar titled ‘Talent economy and Industrial research’ on 8 June 2023 in the AUST seminar room. The speaker was Dr. Sharif Uddin Ahmed Rana, Director, Research and Innovation, president Talent Economy Forum. In the first part of the seminar, the talk was on ‘Talent Economy, Research, Innovation and Start-Up Ecosystem Development’ while in the second part, it was on ‘Industrial and Applied Research: Climate change, Waste management, & Nikola Telsa Technology’.

Prof. Dr. Muhammad Fazli Ilahi, Vice-Chancellor of AUST attended the seminar as the Chief Guest while Prof. Dr. Mahbubur Rahman, Pro-Vice Chancellor attended as the Special Guest. Moreover, the Deans of various faculties, Directors of IQAC, Head of the departments, faculty members, and officers attended the seminar. The final year AUST students also attended.

Prof. Dr. Imtiaz Ahmed, Director of the Centre of Excellence: Innovation and Incubation conducted the proceedings. The talk was followed by Q & A session. The students showed enthusiastic response in entrepreneurship development and proposed couple of ideas to cultivate. One such idea was on application of drone technology in agriculture sector to facilitate the farmers in irrigation, cultivation, and harvesting.

The Vice Chancellor gave his valuable remarks on the seminar specially on the importance of the Centre of Excellence in promoting innovation, incubation and entrepreneurship which is vital for local innovation and global contribution. With vote of thanks, Prof. Dr. Imtiaz Ahmed Choudhury, Director of the centre concluded the seminar.
