A group of faculty members from AUST visited Bangladesh Satellite Company Limited (BSCL) on December 27, 2022. The team consisted of the following faculty members- Prof. Dr. Tareq Aziz, Head, EEE, Prof. Dr. Shahriar Mahbub, Head, CSE, Prof. Dr. Bobby Barua, Prof. Dr. Omar Farrok, Dr. Md. Raqibul Hasan, and Mr. Shaikh Abrar Kabir. The team had the privilege to meet Dr. Shahjahan Mahmood, Chairman of BSCL along with other senior officials and discussed about first nanosatellite project at AUST by some enthusiastic students. Student representative Mr. Mahdi Hasan was present to show the model prepared by his team. The faculty members from AUST discussed about possible collaboration and resource sharing with BSCL regarding the development of nanosatellite as well as newly planned Satellite Communication laboratory for the Department of EEE, AUST. The resource persons from BSCL welcomed the ideas and agreed to provide technical support and guidelines in the upcoming years.
