The Department of Architecture, AUST conducted spring 17 semester Thesis Jury


The Department of Architecture of the Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology, Bangladesh (AUST) recently organized a Final Year Thesis Jury of the students of Spring 2017 semester at its own campus. From 10th to 12th  of October, in the three days event, a total of thirty-eight students from the 29th batch persuaded by their sincere work and unfailing effort to make successful presentation of their projects.

The final year jury of the Department of Architecture reflects numerous abilities of the students and throughout learning outcome of five years study in the discipline. The great encouragements by the Head- Prof. Dr. Jasmin Ara Begum, the handful guidance of the studio instructors -Ar. Ayasha Siddiqua, Ar. Bijon Behari Sarma, Ar. Nujaba Binte Kabir, Dr. Rumana Rashid and Ar. Rigu Sarker, became fruitful with the wonderful final outcome of the promising projects. The projects ranges from General Hospital, Transit Hub, Cultural Complex, Institutions, Resort, Land Port, housing complex and so forth.

Enthusiastic participation of the Students of Architecture in the session from AUST and other Universities transformed the Department into a very lively and happening venue filled with festive mood. Recognized academics, architects and professionals attended the program. The discussion process helped students to learn in an interesting manner and interactive atmosphere. The respected guests and faculties of the Department of Architecture discussed on the design and gave their opinion. There were counter discussion, appreciation and criticism about the presented projects. The jurors discussed on climatic, cultural, economic, aesthetic, regional, functional and numerous issues regarding the projects. Among the respected guests Ar. Mubasshar Hussein , Ar. Rafiq Azam, Ar. Masudur Rahman Khan , Ar Shamsul Wares, Ar. Bashirul Haq, Ar. N.R. Khan and many other prominent practicing architects joined the program. Most of the presented projects were appreciated for their architectural excellence.
