Amongst very few distinguished persons, Prof Dr. A.M.M. Safiullah, Vice-Chancellor, AUST was one of them who was awarded "EDUCATION PEACE AWARD" by Bangladesh Chhatra Kalyan Trust on 13 January 2017. A National Education Conference "Education for World Peace" was organized by the Trust on Friday 13 at 10 am in the BIAM Multipurpose Hall, Dhaka. Advocate Mohammad Fazle Rabbi Mia MP, Deputy Speaker of Bangladesh National Parliament was present as the Chief Guest while Major (Retd.) Dr. Md. Rezaul Haque, Chairman, Social Islami Bank Limited was the Special Guest. Prof. Dr. Shafiq Ahmed Siddique, renowned educationist was the keynote speaker.
