To bid farewell to the outgoing students, a program was held on 25 February 2016 in the Prof. Dr. M.H. Khan Auditorium of AUST. Mr. Kazi Rafiqul Alam, President, Dhaka Ahsania Mission and Chairman, AUST Board of Trustees was present as the Chief Guest while Prof. Dr. M.H. Khan, Founder Vice-Chancellor and Advisor of the university was the Special Guest on that occasion. Prof. Dr. Kazi Shariful Alam, Treasurer, AUST was present as the Guest of Honour. Prof. Dr. A.F.M. Anwarul Haque, Dean, Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Dr. M.A. Muktadir, Dean, Faculty of Architecture and Planning, Dr. Md. Amanullah, Dean, School of Business and Dr. Mohammed Rubaiyat Chowdhury, Proctor of the University were also present on the dias.
The program was presided over by Prof. Dr. A.M.M. Safiullah, Vice-Chancellor, AUST.
All Heads of the Departments, Teachers, Officers and outgoing students were present in the auditorium.
The program started with the recitation from the Holy Quran.
At the very beginning, one outgoing student from each department spoke on their experience in this university. They expressed their gratitude to the Vice-Chancellor and teachers for giving them an academic environment and for imparting quality education during their stay in this university. They also praised the management for getting continuous support time to time. They also appreciated the teachers for their devotion in careful guidance which they will remember with gratitude.
Kazi Rafiqul Alam, President, Dhaka Ahsania Mission and Chairman, AUST Board of Trustees advised the students to lead their life with ethics. Education will be meaningless for those who leave morality. People with higher degree can be of no use for the welfare of the country if ethics is absent there in one's attitude. He also informed the outgoing students that AUST has taken initiative to create an Alumni Association and a committee is working for it's establishment.
Prof. Dr. M.H. Khan, Founder Vice-Chancellor and Advisor of the university advised the students not to forget the university from where they have achieved the degree. It is sacred duty for a student to be the ambassador of his own institute for spreading it's reputation through their work and commitment to the nation.
Prof. Dr. A.M.M. Safiullah, Vice-Chancellor advised the students to develop entrepreneurship, leadership qualities and wisdom and become leaders in the society. They are requested to continue the lifelong learning process and utilize their knowledge for their wellbeing and the welfare of the society.
Prof. Dr. Kazi Shariful Alam, Treasurer, AUST wished them a successful and bright future. He expects the graduates of AUST to do well when they start their career with job. He advised them to be honest, sincere and hard working so that AUST can also feel proud for them.
