Dr. Mohammad Tajul Islam is now the Fellow of The Textile Institute


The Textile Institute works to promote professionalism in textiles and related industries worldwide. It is the professional body founded in 1910 with the headquarters in Manchester, UK for people who are actively working in textiles, clothing and footwear. The Textile Institute provides professional qualifications to recognize the professional achievements and contributions which are not covered through academic qualifications alone. ‘Council of the Textile Institute’ approves the award of professional qualifications upon the recommendation of ‘Professional Qualifications Committee’ to its members who have demonstrated the possession of a sound knowledge of the industry and a high standard of professional competence through creative contributions.

Dr. Mohammad Tajul Islam, Associate Professor of the Department of Textile Engineering has been awarded following highest professional qualification from The Textile Institute, Manchester, UK on 3 February 2021.
