Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST) is pleased to announce that Dr. Mohammad Tajul Islam, Associate Professor in the Department of Textile Engineering, has been appointed Editor-in-Chief of Coloration Technology, with effect from 1 April 2026.

Coloration Technology, published by the Society of Dyers and Colourists in collaboration with Wiley, is a leading international peer-reviewed journal in textile science and coloration. With origins dating back to 1884, it is one of the longest-established journals in the textile discipline.

Dr. Tajul Islam has been associated with the journal for nearly six years as a member of its Editorial Panel. His appointment as Editor-in-Chief reflects his sustained contributions to the field and his growing international recognition in textile research.

In this role, Dr. Tajul Islam will provide editorial leadership for the journal, overseeing the peer-review process and contributing to its strategic development. The appointment also highlights the increasing global engagement and research presence of AUST in textile engineering.
