PEEIACON 2026 Inaugural Ceremony Commences at AUST


The inaugural ceremony of the 5th International Conference on Power, Electrical, Electronics, and Industrial Applications (PEEIACON 2026) commenced on 6 August 2026 at the Prof. Dr. M. H. Khan Auditorium of Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST). The conference is jointly organized by the IEEE Bangladesh Section (IEEE BDS) and the IEEE Industry Applications Society (IAS) Bangladesh Chapter and serves as an international platform for researchers, academicians, industry professionals, and students to share innovations and foster collaboration in the fields of power, electrical, electronics, and industrial applications.

The inaugural ceremony was graced by Mohammad Wahid Hossain, ndc, Honorable Chairman (Senior Secretary), Bangladesh Energy and Power Research Council (BEPRC), as the Chief Guest. Prof. Dr. Golam Rahman, Honorable President of Dhaka Ahsania Mission, attended the ceremony as the Special Guest, while Prof. Dr. Md. Ashraful Hoque, Honorable Vice-Chancellor of Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST), served as the Chief Patron of the conference.

The inaugural ceremony was attended by distinguished members of the conference organizing committee, including Dr. Celia Shahnaz, Chair, IEEE IAS Bangladesh Chapter and Professor, Department of EEE, BUET, and Dr. Pran Kanai Saha, Professor, Department of EEE, AUST, as the General Chairs; Dr. Mohammed Imamul Hassan Bhuiyan, Chair, IEEE Bangladesh Section and Professor, EEE, BUET and Prof. Dr. Bobby Barua, Professor and Head, Department of EEE, AUST, as the Organizing Chairs; and Dr. Shaikh A. Fattah, Chair, IEEE PES HAC and Professor, Department of EEE, BUET, along with Dr. Omar Farrok, Professor, Department of EEE, AUST, as the Technical Program Committee Chairs.

The two-day conference, held on 6–7 August 2026, brings together researchers, academicians, industry professionals, and students through a comprehensive technical program featuring 3 keynote speeches, 5 invited talks, panel discussions, roundtable discussions, an Industrial Exhibition, and technical paper presentation sessions. Designed to promote knowledge exchange and strengthen collaboration between academia and industry, the conference highlights the latest advancements in power, electrical, electronics, and industrial applications. This year’s conference attracted 357 paper submissions from 13 countries, with 121 papers accepted and registered for presentation following a rigorous review process.
