A day-long program for Reception and Orientation of newly admitted students for Spring-2024 Semester was organized at Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology on Monday, 02 December 2024 at M.H. Khan Auditorium.
Prof. Dr. Golam Rahman, Chairman, Board of Trustees (BoT), AUST and President, Dhaka Ahsania Mission attended the program as the Chief Guest and spoke on the program. He Said that Education is not just about acquiring knowledge; it is about building character, fostering creativity, and making meaningful contributions to society. He said, “as students of AUST, you must uphold the highest standards of integrity and responsibility in all your endeavors.” The Board of Trustees is committed to ensuring that AUST remains at the forefront of academic excellence, research, and innovation.
Prof. Dr. Mohammed Mahbubur Rahman, Pro Vice-Chancellor, AUST and Prof. Dr. Sharmin Reza Chowdhury, Treasurer, AUST spoke as Special Guests. The program was chaired by Prof. Dr. Md. Ashraful Hoque,Vice-Chancellor, AUST.
Prof. Dr. Md. Ashraful Hoque, Chair of the Program welcomed the newly enrolled students of AUST and said that Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology is proud to be one of the leading institutions in Bangladesh, renowned for our commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and the holistic development of our students. He emphasized the students to be disciplined and asked not to involve any activities that could hamper the academics activities of the University.
Prof. Dr. Md. Mahmudur Rahman, Dean, Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Jasmin Ara Begum, Dean, Faculty of Architecture, Prof. Dr. S M Shafiul Alam, Dean, Faculty of Business and Social Sciences, Prof. Dr. Md. Ashrafur Rahman, Proctor, Dr. Md. Zillur Rahman, Librarian, Dr. Md. Shahnewaz Bhuiyan, Controller of Examination (In Charge), Md. Muniruzzaman, Registrar (Acting) spoke on the various issues of rules and regulations as well as guidelines. Academic discipline and extra co-curricular activities of the University were highlighted.
New admitted Students from Architecture, Civil Engineering, Industrial and Production Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Textile Engineering and School of Business expressed their feelings of becoming the members of AUST family. Among others Heads of the Department and offices were present. The program was moderated by Advisor of Students’ Welfare of AUST, Prof. Dr. Md. Meganur Rhaman. The program was conducted by Prattusha Bhattacharjee, Lecturer, Department of Industrial and Production Engineering, AUST. The Proctorial and Students’ Welfare Teams ensured that the orientation program was organized, welcoming, and informative, leaving a positive impression on new students and their families.
