A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST) and Urmi Group. The MoU was signed at the AUST campus on Thursday, January 12, 2023. Prof. Dr. Mustafizur Rahman, Treasurer, AUST, and Mr. Asif Ashraf, Managing Director, Urmi Group, signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organizations. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Fazli Ilahi, Vice-Chancellor, AUST and Prof. Dr. Mohammed Mahbubur Rahman, Pro Vice-Chancellor, AUST, were present during the signing ceremony.

Prof. Dr. Lal Mohan Baral, Head, Department of Textile Engineering and Mr. Biplob Barua, Genaral Manager, Strategic HR, Urmi Group also signed the MoU.

The main objective of this MoU is to support the undergraduate students of DTE, AUST to enhance their professional skills by providing intensive hands-on skill training during the industrial attachment at Urmi group. 

Shamarukh Fakhruddin, Director, Urmi Group, Mr. Md. Ruhul Quddus, Head of Strategic Business Unit (Textile), Urmi Group, Md. Ashraful Islam, Deputy Manager, HR, Urmi Group, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Sarwar Morshed, Director, IQAC, AUST, teachers and students of Textile Engineering Department also were present during the signing ceremony.
