Farewell program, Spring 2016


To bid farewell to the outgoing students of Spring Semester 2016, a program was held on 21 August 2016 in the Prof. Dr. M.H. Khan Auditorium of AUST. Prof. Dr. M.H. Khan, Founder Vice-Chancellor and Advisor of AUST was present as the Chief Guest while Prof. Dr. Kazi Shariful Alam, Treasurer of the university was the Special Guest on that occasion. Prof. Dr. A.F.M. Anwarul Haque, Dean, Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Dr. M.A. Muktadir, Dean, Faculty of Architecture and Planning, Prof. Dr. Md. Amanullah, Dean, Faculty of Business and Social Sciences, Prof. Dr. Sharmin Reza Chowdhury, Advisor (In-Charge), Students' Welfare and Prof. Dr. Md. Hamidur Rahman Khan, Proctor of the University were also present on the dias.

The program was presided over by Prof. Dr. A.M.M. Safiullah, Vice-Chancellor, AUST.

All Heads of the Departments, Teachers, Officers and outgoing students were present in the auditorium.

The program started with the recitation from the Holy Quran.

At the very beginning, one outgoing student from each department spoke on their experience over the last few years in this university. They expressed their gratitude to the Vice-Chancellor as well as teachers for their heartiest effort of imparting quality education and also for giving them an excellent academic environment during their stay in this university. They also praised the management for arranging co-curricular and extra-curricular activities like games, sports, picnic, seminars, exhibitions, etc from time to time. They appreciated the teachers for their devotion in careful guidance which they will not forget. It is to be mentioned that around 500 students are going to appear for their final examinations.

Prof. Dr. M.H. Khan, Founder Vice-Chancellor and Advisor, AUST advised the students and gave them several instructions to build their life afterwards and said "The eminence of a University does not depend on how beautiful its building is rather it depends on a mutual commitment made between teachers and students based on delivering and receiving proper education. Technology is changing periodically, so students have to learn the way of adjustment with it." He further said to the outgoing students, "You are stepping into a life which will be different than this one you are leading now. You are enjoying some liberty now to do something which wil be restricted once when you are in profession. You have to realize the dream of your clients which need to be fulfilled by your skilled effort to ensure their satisfaction. You need to be real professional and committed to your service."

Prof. Dr. A.M.M. Safiullah, Vice-Chancellor said "This is the memorable day of your life. You are going to enter into a different world which will be more challenging either you are in service or intend to go for higher studies. You will find a life where you need to be successful. You have to achieve the quality of the professional leadership. Quality like integrity, devotion, magnanimity should be developed amongst you to gain the real success.  You have to think globally if you want to survive. The job Market is now globalized and to get a better job you have to compete with the skilled people at home and abroad. So be ready to accept the challenge from this moment."

Prof. Dr. Kazi Shariful Alam, Treasurer, AUST said to the students, "Though it's a formal ceremony of bidding farewell to our students, its actually the beginning to make new relationship with them as our professionals. You will always be here with us. AUST will look for your continuous support. I wish you become successful wherever you go. Make AUST proud through spreading it's name and fame everywhere by your skilled service and your commitment to serve the people."

There were inspiring speeches from Prof. Dr. A.F.M. Anwarul Haque, Dean, Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Dr. M.A. Muktadir, Dean, Faculty of Architecture and Planning, Prof. Dr. Md. Amanullah, Dean, Faculty of Business and Social Sciences, Prof. Dr. Sharmin Reza Chowdhury, Advisor (In-Charge), Students' Welfare and Prof. Dr. Md. Hamidur Rahman Khan, Proctor of the University that were well taken by the outgoing.
