Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST) organized Orientation program for the newly recruited Faculty members in the current semester. The day-long program was held on Thursday, 21 December 2023 at VC seminar room, AUST.

Prof. Dr. Abu Tweb Abu Ahmed, Vice-Chairman, Board of Trustees, AUST familiarized the participants with the philosophy of Hazrat Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah (R).

Prof. Dr. M. Shamsher Ali, Member, Board of Trustees, AUST emphasized role of research and publication in academia with examples from his own experience. 

Prof. Dr. Mizanur Rahman, Former Chair of National Human Rights Commission, Bangladesh discussed Ethics in teaching.  

Prof. Dr. Muhammad Fazli Ilahi, Vice-Chancellor, AUST delivered welcome speech, and discussed about different types of rules and information about AUST and emerging changes.

Prof. Dr. Mohammed Mahbubur Rahman, Pro Vice-Chancellor, AUST explained the fundamentals of different types of education. He focused on how to execute and implement OBE at AUST.

Prof. Dr. Jasmin Ara Begum, Dean, Faculty of Architecture and Planning discussed about collegiality at work place and how the Complaint Committee works. Prof. Dr. A K M Baki of Department of EEE, discussed service rules and department activities. Prof. Dr. Md. Shahriar Mahbub, Head of Computer Science and Engineering, discussed about ICT services of AUST.

Emphasized on importance of research and publication in academic arena and career building, Prof. Dr. Dewan Hasan Ahmed, Director, RPO, AUST elaborated on various aspects of AIRG.

Prof. Dr. Mohammad Sarwar Morshed, Director, IQAC presented the BNQF and BAC standards and implications of seeking accreditation. He also thanked all participants, presenters and organizers.
