IMechE AUST Student Chapter and IEEE AUST Student Branch collaborated for the first time on a webinar titled "Options and Challenges for a Low Carbon Future." The webinar focused on pathways to achieve deep decarbonization, emphasizing energy conservation and efficient usage, as well as low-cost electricity, hydrogen, and biomass production.

The esteemed guest speaker, Shamsuzzaman Farooq, a Professor in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the National University of Singapore (NUS), specialized in adsorption science and its application in gas separation technology. With over 30 years of experience in both laboratory and industrial scale studies, Professor Farooq provided invaluable insights during the webinar.
