The seminar arranged by the department of MPE titled “Innovation Keeps Us Relevant,” which was the fourth session on the series of presentations titled “Pathway to Research Culture,” was completed with ease and To arrange this seminar, both the IMechE AUST Student Chapter and the IEOM Society AUST Student Chapter provided assistance. In the seminar, Dr. Mustafizur Rahman was invited as the guest speaker. He has been with the department of Mechanical Engineering at the National University of Singapore from 1982 to 2016. Currently, he is the Managing Director of Mikrotools Pte. Ltd. His research interests include high-speed machining, micro/nano machining, hybrid machining, etc. His presentation was impeccable in terms of innovation. He has shared a lot of his knowledge gained through expertise with us and has also answered every question patiently. Along with him, Department Head of MPE Department Dr. Mohammad Sarwar Morshed was present as the program chair, Vice Chancellor of AUST Dr. . Mohammad Fazli Elahi was the chief guest, and Pro Vice Chancellor of AUST Dr. Mohammad Mahbubur Rahman was the special guest. The wisdom that they shared through their speech is something that will help every participant along the way.
