Mechanical and Production Engineering

A cohort of fifteen students from Mechanical Engineering (ME) program (Fall 2022) took part in an industrial attachment at Ulterior Engineering Intl. in Dhaka from 2nd October to 3rd October, 2023.

During their attachment, they had the opportunity to gain knowledge and observe various devices like servo motors, different types of push-buttons and switches, level transmitters, encoders, differential pressure transducers, thermocouples, resistance temperature detectors, magnetic contactors, different types of circuit breakers (SP, DP, TP, TPN), ON delay timer, electromagnetic relay, electronics relay, thermal relay, thermal overload relay, electronics overload relay, phase failure relay, three-phase protector using electromechanical relay, Dol starter, F/R starter, S/D starter, DOL starter automatic ON-OFF, forward reverse automatic ON-OFF, star delta starter timer off, different type of motor controlling devices etc. They had done three practical experiments using the devices. Furthermore, there was a session from which they learned about the skills which are mainly required in the job fields from the experienced instructors.

Throughout their attachment, the students displayed attentiveness in learning new concepts, and they greatly appreciated the friendly and cooperative nature of the Ulterior Engineering Intl. staff, including the instructors.
