Mechanical and Production Engineering

On 03 June 2023, a group of respected faculty members of the Department of Mechanical and Production Engineering (MPE), AUST visited the Training Institute for Chemical Industries (TICI), Palash, Ghorashal, Narsingdi. The sole purpose of this trip was to assess whether it is a good fit for the students of both IPE and ME programs for their Industrial Attachment visits. TICI is a center of excellence for cutting-edge technical support and education in the field of manufacturing. Currently, they are well equipped with 50 laboratories & machine shops organized throughout seven technical areas, including Mechanical Engineering Department, Electrical & Electronic Engineering Department, Instrumentation & Control Engineering Department, and Industrial Safety & Health Department. TICI offers a wide range of short, long, and special courses, workshops, and seminars for graduate engineers, undergraduate students, and other relevant personnel to help them acquire technical knowledge and competence in the areas of production, maintenance, and quality control. Moreover, students from other departments at AUST can benefit from this organization just as much as those in the department of MPE.
