On January 31, 2023, the ASHRAE AUST Student Branch hosted a successful Technical Session on HVAC&R. The Chief Guest was the Vice Chancellor of Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology, Professor Dr. Muhammad Fazli Ilahi. In addition to other distinguished faculty members, Prof. Dr. Mazharul Islam, Head of the Department of MPE at Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology, attended the seminar as a special guest. The distinguished speaker, Engr. Faruque Ahmed, CEO & Principal Consultant of Air-Tech Engineers & Consultants, addressed the students with several aspects of HVAC&R, including Unitary Air-conditioners and the HVAC Design concept. Another distinguished speaker, qualified HVAC Designer Engr. Ershed Jaman Khan, CEO & Chief Designer of Electro Mechanical Control Service, imparted his knowledge on Ventilation for a healthier atmosphere and ASHRAE & BNBC recommendations in this regard. Over a hundred students participated the session and showed their enthusiasm in HVAC&R.

Also present was the ASHRAE Bangladesh Chapter CTTC Chair, Mr. Asif Hossain Rochy, who was responsible for reporting the entire Technical Session for point scoring at the regional level.

The seminar concluded with a ceremony honoring the event sponsor Utility Professionals and the guest speakers for their significant contributions. The session concluded about 5 p.m. with a vote of thanks to the Honorable Speakers, Chief Guest, Special Guest, and other faculty members.
