Mechanical and Production Engineering

The Bangladesh Industrial and Technical Assistance Center is an independent government body and research center based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Its mission is to improve industrial production as well as provide technical knowledge. The Department of Mechanical and Production Engineering sent 13 students from the 3^rd year and 2^nd semester for an Industrial Attachment at Bangladesh Industrial Technical and Assistance Centre (BITAC). The attachment ran from 17^th August 2021 to 31^st August 2021, a total of 10 working days.

As per the attendees, the attachment was an insightful experience into the inner workings of the day-to-day life of the governmental body and its people. They observed the various machines and the working principles of those machines needed to run all the operations in BITAC and how the personnel go about achieving those goals. They also were made aware of the prospects of the agency that it has for itself and how they wish to achieve those prospects.
