On January 30, 2023, a seminar entitled “The Key to Networking and Relationship Management in the Business World” took place. The guest speaker Md. Shamim Mahfuz Snigdho, currently working as the Principal Officer & Relationship Manager of the Corporate Banking Division at Dhaka Bank. This program organized by the IEOM Society AUST Student Chapter.

The registration form was made available on January 25, 2023, and more than 150 participants registered by the morning of January 29, 2023. Our speaker who also happens to be an alumnus of the Department of Civil Engineering, AUST shared all the tips and tricks we needed to build strong professional relationships. The session commenced at 3.30 PM and continued until 5.00 PM. He discussed his life experience and his entire journey, from which he had learned many significant lessons. With the help of his narratives, his listeners were able to better grasp the fundamental points he was making. At last, he concluded with an open Q&A session with the audience. Overall, it was a pretty insightful and interactive session as well.

Respected faculty members of MPE, AUST along with the former Head of the Department Dr. Mohammad Sarwar Morshed, Professor, enlightened the session with his presence. The organizers are especially thankful to Md. Adib Rahman, Lecturer and Faculty Advisor of IEOM Society AUST Student Chapter, and Hasin Md. Muhtasim Taqi, Assistant Professor for their enormous contribution. The session concluded with the essential lesson of making oneself accessible to others for career advancement.
