A group of four students, Shuchita Faruque Shirsha (ID – 20200207027), Tajri Hasan Fiha (ID – 20200207110), Sharmin (ID – 20200207126) and Auny Azad (ID – 20200207128) from level 3, term 2 of the IPE program participated in an industrial attachment at Nestlé Bangladesh PLC Factory, Sreepur, from March 17 to March 21, 2024. From this attachment, they gained practical knowledge across multiple departments of Nestlé’s manufacturing, supply chain, quality control, and engineering operations. The students explored the entire manufacturing process of various Nestlé products, including MAGGI noodles, infant formula, coffee, and cereals. They observed critical production techniques such as mixing, rolling, steaming, drying, frying, and packaging. They also gained exposure to quality assurance processes, including raw material inspection, finished product testing, and adherence to Nestlé’s global safety standards. Additionally, the students participated in a real-world problem-solving project, focusing on reducing lamination loss in MAGGI noodle packaging. They conducted data collection, analysis, and process optimization to improve efficiency.
