The Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST) conducted a workshop on "Assessment and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) for Engineering Program" where the key presenter was Prof. Dr. Arshad Mahmud Chowdhury, Dean of Engineering, BRAC University and Former Head, Department of CSE North South University (NSU). The event is scheduled for Wednesday, October 16, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM. It will take place at the Distance Learning Theater (DLT) at Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST).

This workshop was intended for all Deans of the Faculties, Heads of the Departments, PSAC members, departmental OBE committee of EEE, TE, MPE only and OBE Coordinators of all departments/school. Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) is a critical process in the management and enhancement of engineering education programs. It involves a systematic evaluation of educational practices and outcomes with the aim of making ongoing improvements. The Steps of Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) were explained and demonstrated for developing knowledge about it. This  workshop significantly benefitted the MPE department by enhancing understanding of effective CQI strategies tailored to engineering programs. The insights shared by key presenters provided actionable guidelines to strengthen assessment methodologies and align with OBE standards.

Collaboration with peers and expert facilitators fostered knowledge sharing, empowering the department to refine its program outcomes. This initiative reinforces the MPE department's commitment to achieving excellence in academic quality and accreditation goals.
