Mechanical and Production Engineering

A group of 4 (four) students from level 3, term 2 of the IPE program participated in an industrial attachment at Bengal Group of Industries, Dhaka from July 5 to July 9, 2023. From this attachment, they got practical knowledge about different manufacturing sectors. They learned about different types of conventional and nonconventional machines (injection molding machines, drilling machines, plano milling machines, circular saw machines, extruders, EDM machines, laser welding machines, wire drawing, and many other CNC machines, etc.), quality control lab, maintenance shop, heat treatment, fabrication, computerized numerical control, and machine maintenance. They also learned how Bengal’s overall bill of materials is done by the accounting department and how production is controlled by PCD. Through this practical knowledge, their theoretical and practical knowledge has become more enriched. All of Bengal's employees were exceptionally kind and helpful. Each and every one of the instructors poured their hearts into their lessons.
