IEOM Society AUST Student Chapter presented “Excel Your Way 2.0”, a sequel of the first-of-its-kind event “Excel Your Way” on Microsoft Excel in AUST.

In this digital age, every professional needs to be an expert in MS Excel. In order to give you a one-stop solution under one roof, IEOM Society AUST Student Chapter came up with “Excel Your Way 2.0”. It was comprised of two segments:

➤Competition

On 2^nd June, 2023 and 3^rd June, 2023 consecutively, a 2-day long online workshop was conducted by an industry expert and one of our respected faculty members.

The first day was covered by Mr. Rafat Rahman, CSCA™, Lecturer, Department of Mechanical and Production Engineering (MPE), AUST. He was also the former Lecturer, Department of Industrial and Production Engineering (IPE) at European University of Bangladesh. The second day was covered by Mr. Shoaib Ullash, Demand Planner at Foodpanda Bangladesh Ltd. He completed his B.Sc. in Industrial and Production Engineering (IPE) from AUST.

The workshop was done to demonstrate MS Excel that can be effectively utilized to address real life problems with some tips and tricks. Introduction to MS Excel, encompassing and overview of the interface and basic terminology, basic formulas and functions, conditional functions to perform basic calculation and work based on specific conditions were covered out in contrast. Both the instructors carried out such valuable lessons accordingly. They made the session interactive. IEOM Society AUST Student Chapter was happy to have these two dynamic individuals onboard for the online workshop on MS Excel.

The organisers are especially thankful to Mr. Md. Adib Rahman, Faculty Advisor, IEOM Society AUST Student Chapter for his enormous contribution. The online workshop ended with the goal that was set to let everyone on how to start guiding oneself through the world of MS Excel and to build themself as an expert.
